A stubborn lake breeze has set up to keep it cooler along the lakefront, temperatures at the beach will be close to 80° and Milwaukee will see a high of 88°. Overnight lows will be in the upper-50's for our lakefront communities and Milwaukee temperatures and low-60's for our inland areas and Waukesha temperatures.

  • Stormy start with hot weather on the way

The holiday weekend starts out on a stormy note with showers and thunderstorms possible mainly before noon today with partly cloudy skies through the afternoon. Temperatures will be cooler at the lakefront, near 70° but further inland it will warm into the mid-70s due to a light ESE wind at 5-15mph. There is a slight chance for a few more showers and T'storms to develop early this evening. Any remaining shower exits tonight and cloud cover will decrease in the wake of the warm front.

  • More Sunshine and Still Warm

A cool front has passed through Southeast Wisconsin dropping today's expected high temperatures a bit from yesterday's 80s. Dry air works back in, too with a mostly sunny sky. The tail end of that boundary lifts back into our region as a warm front which could trigger some scattered showers and thunderstorms for the first day of our holiday weekend. By Sunday our area will be solidly in the warm sector sending our temperatures soaring back to near 90 degrees with plenty of sunshine. Memorial Day looks to remain quite warm with a return to some scattered showers and thunderstorms. Have a great holiday weekend!

The cold front moves back late Friday night as a warm front which could bring showers and thunderstorms back to Milwaukee on Saturday. • Very Windy and Very Warm

A growing pressure gradient between departing high pressure and the approach of a low to our Northwest will send our winds whipping to 40 mph gusts today. The Southerly breezes will send temperatures soaring to near 90 degrees. We'll notice a quick increase in clouds toward evening and scattered showers or thunderstorms will overspread the area tonight as a cool front gets closer. We look on track for a holiday weekend with very warm temperatures and scattered showers or storms on Saturday and Memorial day with plenty of sun on Sunday. Have a great Thursday!

  • Thursday will be sunny, windy and warm before the storms hit...

Cleat skies again on Wednesday night but warmer air settles in with low temperatures in the mid to upper-fifties. Sunshine returns again on Thursday with a bit more humidity and very windy conditions. Our more stable air mass will inhibit any wet weather in southeast Wisconsin until the front finally makes its closer Thursday night. That's when we could see a few showers and thunderstorms. At this point, the holiday weekend looks to be seasonal early then warm with plenty of sunshine Sunday, but the potential of some isolated showers and storms on Saturday and Memorial Day.

  • Pick Day!

  • Sunny and Even Warmer...Again!

Southerly winds will give our temperatures a big boost beginning today and continuing into Thursday. Those winds will also increase significantly by tomorrow with strong gusts coming ahead of a frontal boundary which will stall just to our West throughout Wednesday. Our more stable air mass will inhibit any wet weather in Southeast Wisconsin until the front finally makes its way closer Thursday night into early Friday. That's when we could see a few rounds of showers and thunderstorms. At this point, the holiday weekend looks to be quite warm with plenty of sunshine Sunday, but the potential of some scattered showers and storms on Saturday and Memorial Day. Have a great Wednesday!

  • Bright Blue Skies

High pressure maintains its hold on our region today with more sunshine and seasonal temperatures in the upper 60s to near 70 degrees. It will be cooler at times along Lake Michigan's shoreline with an Easterly component to the wind. We'll see a return to Southerly winds by midweek and that should boost our temperatures back above average into the 70s and low 80s with dry days. Have a great Tuesday!

  • More sunshine and pleasant temperatures for Tuesday...

It will be sunny most of the week with a large area of high pressure. The only chance for rain is Thursday night and Friday with a cold front. • Sunshine and Cooler Temperatures Return

We'll continue to see some early clouds on the back edge of the storm system which brought wet weather for the tail end of the weekend. Dramatically different sky conditions will develop by the afternoon with more sunshine. Behind the cool front that passed through overnight, we'll notice a big decline in temperatures from the 80s we saw Saturday and Sunday. Our readings will tumble into the 60s for highs today and tomorrow, but that's still just about where we should be for this time of year. High pressure building in will maintain sunshine on Tuesday. Have a great week ahead!

  • We're Done with the Rain

The southeast Wisconsin, Waukesha and Milwaukee forecast the rest of your Sunday night will be quiet. Overnight lows will be cooler in the low-50's for our lakefront communities and Milwaukee temperatures and upper-40's for our inland areas and Waukesha temperatures.
