*****HEAT ADVISORY FOR ALL OF SOUTHEAST WISCONSIN THURSDAY: 12PM-8PM*****

  • Here Comes The Heat!

A ridge in the upper levels of the atmosphere will continue blocking any big storms systems from making headway into our region. Sunshine will continue to dominate sky conditions across Southeastern Wisconsin. We'll also see an enormous shift in air masses as strong Southwest winds usher in, first the heat, and then the humidity. Temperatures today will soar to the low and mid 90s, even in our Eastern counties. We'll pick up a couple degrees for tomorrow with some spots nearing triple digits. An approaching ineffective cool front and a few more clouds on Thursday with an isolated storm in the afternoon. It might suppress readings which otherwise could climb even higher. The significant dry stretch will continue for the next several days, too. Have a great Wednesday!

  • Herecomes the heat in time for Summerfest...

There will be mostly clear skies and mild temperatures overnight, but by early Wednesday morning strong southwest winds will start a warm-up for Milwaukee. Low temperatures will be in the upper-fifties in Milwaukee. As the surface high eases off to the East, our winds will pick up out of the South/Southwest, and skies will be sunny. All these factors will combine to create yet another heat wave and extended period of mainly dry weather. High temperatures tomorrow should reach 95 degrees, with mid to upper 90s around the area on Thursday. A cold front should start to give relief to lakeside communities by Thursday afternoon, and that weak cold front could bring an isolated thunderstorm to the area by Thursday evening...Malan

  • Enjoy Today

The forecast for Milwaukee, Waukesha and SE Wisconsin is for a perfect day with 70s and 80s, low humidity, a light SE wind and lots of sunshine. This evening and tonight are beautiful as lows drop into the 50s, but the warm front arrives by morning at temperatures quickly warm up to near 90 by noon with lots of sun, low humidity and a gusty wind up to 30 mph to help cool you down a bit. The record is 101 from 1933 for tomorrow. It will stay very warm Wednesday night with lows in the mid to upper 70s...a very uncomfortable night of sleep for those without air conditioning.

  • Sun Returns & Warm Up Begins

High pressure has control of the weather for hundreds of miles around us, bringing back more bright skies and dry air with a return to seasonal high temperatures near 80 degrees. As the surface high eases off to the East, our winds will pick up out of the South and Southwest, with an upper level ridge strengthening. All these factors will combine to create yet another heat wave and extended period of mainly dry weather. Readings tomorrow should top 90 degrees, with mid to upper 90s around the area on Thursday. Have a great Tuesday!

  • One more nice day before the heat returns to open Summerfest...

Clear, cool and dry are the weather words for Monday night as high pressure settles on top of us here in Milwaukee. Tuesday is the best day of the week with high temperatures in the mid-seventies and lower eighties with low humidity. Skies will remain mostly sunny and that sunshine continues on Wednesday. Heat and humidity return to the region by Wednesday with some locations getting into the upper-nineties on Thursday. Seasonal temperatures return by the weekend.

  • Enjpy the Great Day

A cold front moved through the area Sunday afternoon so the forecast for Milwaukee, Waukesha and SE Wisconsin is for a sunny and comfortable day with highs in the 60s and 70s and a gusty NE wind up to 20 mph. It will be another great night of sleeping with lows in the 40s and 50s and Tuesday is the pick day of the week with sunshine, a light SE breeze and highs in the 70s and 80s...cooler at the lake.

  • Dry and Warming Week

We are about to experience another remarkably quiet stretch of weather. Canadian high pressure sinking in to the region will briefly cool our temperatures with a Northerly component to the winds. The ridge will keep our high temperatures to near 70 degrees on Monday with a large warm up for the rest of the week with an abundance of sunshine. Heat and humidity return to the region by Wednesday with some locations topping 100 degrees on Thursday. Have a great week ahead!

  • Cooler with Sun on Monday

The southeast Wisconsin, Waukesha and Milwaukee forecast for the rest of your Sunday night will have that front rolling through. When it moves out, it will take the chance of rain with it then clear out the skies late tonight. Lows will bottom out in the mid-50's for our lakefront communities and Milwaukee temperatures and low-50's for Waukesha and inland temperatures.

  • Grab the umbrella but it won't be a washout

A cold front will move through southeast Wisconsin today but before it does that, temperatures will climb into the low 80s under partly cloudy skies. There is a slight chance for a few sprinkles before noon, but most of us stay dry this morning. You'll want the umbrella by your side this afternoon as he cold front swings through, bringing a chance of rain and a few thunderstorms into the forecast. Not everyone will see rain as this is a weak front as far as precipitation goes, many locations will only see a tenth of an inch of rain. Temperatures will drop into the 60s after 5pm, so you will feel the impact of the front after it passes through. Skies clear tonight as temperatures drop into the low 50s with a breezy NE wind at 10-15mph.

  • A Chance of a Sunday Shower

The southeast Wisconsin, Waukesha and Milwaukee forecast for the rest of your Saturday night will see a chance of an evening sprinkle or shower in the evening, then a chance shower or T'storm overnight under mostly cloudy skies. Lows will be in the mid-60's.

  • Great Saturday!

Today will be the best day out of the weekend with mostly sunny skies, light winds and highs in the mid-70s at the lake and 80 degrees inland. Tonight a cold front moves in from the north, that may spark off a few showers and thunderstorms after midnight. Some of those showers and T'storms stick around for Sunday morning. The rain will not diminish our dry conditions in southeastern Wisconsin, most locations will only pick up a tenth to a quarter of an inch of rain.

  • The weekend looks good, but with a chance for a T'storm...

With the loss of daytime heating, clouds will gradually dissipate tonight. Low temperatures will bottom out in the upper-50's for our lakefront communities and Milwaukee temperatures and mid-50's for Waukesha and inland temperatures with clear to partly cloudy skies. There should be plenty of sunshine on Saturday in Milwaukee and temperatures on southeast winds will be in the mid-seventies lakeside to the low-eighties out in Waukesha. A cold front from the north could generate thunderstorms late saturday night and they could linger into Sunday, but no all day wash-out. Temperatures on Sunday will be in the lower eighties for southeast Wisconsin.

  • A Few Stray Storms Popping

The southeast Wisconsin, Waukesha and Milwaukee forecast for the rest of your Friday has a couple isolated showers and T'storms popping up for a few of us. If you do see any rain, it wouldn't last all day. Highs have been reached in spots along Lake Michigan and it's now cooling down there, where if you live towards Waukesha or areas inland, you're topping out in the low-80's.

  • Fine Finish-Split Weekend

High pressure building into Southeast Wisconsin will usher in a quiet finish to the work week. We'll have plenty of sunshine and with a continued gentle Northwest breeze, high temperatures will return to near seasonal averages of about 80 degrees. There is a ripple in the atmosphere to our North which could clip our Northern counties with some afternoon showers or a thunderstorm, particularly in Fond du Lac and Sheboygan counties. Saturday looks like a repeat performance, but without the risk of any wet weather and a great day to enjoy the outdoors. Another disturbance approaches our region Saturday night and Sunday, but it should only produce some scattered showers and thunderstorms, certainly not a washout to finish the weekend. Have a great Friday and terrific weekend!

  • Seasonal, Dry air moves in for the weekend

Conditions will be very comfortable tonight as it will be dry so you can open up your windows and let nature cool down your house. Lows will bottom out around 60 degrees for our lakefront communities and Milwaukee temperatures and mid-50's for Waukesha and inland temperatures. There will be plenty of sunshine in southeast Wisconsin on Friday with the chance for a pop-up shower or thunderstorm, especially in the afternoon. Temperatures will be around eighty degrees on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. There should be plenty of sunshine on all three days.

  • Less Humidity, More Sunshine

The southeast Wisconsin, Waukesha and Milwaukee forecast for the rest of your Thursday has more sunshine and less humidity. Highs will top out in the lower-80's, but it will feel much cooler than it has been the last few days.

  • Cooler and Less Humid

A cool front is pushing through the area this morning and may trigger a few early showers, though there has been a definite weakening trend on radar. Look for some rather rapid clearing as the day progresses with sunshine by later in the morning or early afternoon. Behind the front, our winds will shift to the West-Northwest ushering in slightly cooler readings but less humid air. The dry weather should take hold again through the first half of the weekend. Have a great Thursday!

  • Less humid air and cooler temperatures settle in for Thursday

A cold front is moving through Wisconsin Wednesday night and it will bring scattered showers and thunderstorms late and cooler air for the end of the week. There may be a few lingering showers on Thursday morning and then the skies should slowly clear out as less humid air rolls in from the northwest. High temperatures drop back to around eighty degrees on Thursday and that pattern will continue on Friday and ino the weekend. There should be plenty of sunshine on Friday and Saturday and then a slight threat for another thunderstorm on Sunday.

  • End to the heat wave in sight...

This is the final day of this mini heat-wave in southeastern Wisconsin with highs in the mid-90s, lots of sun and sticky conditions. The only thing to help us feel a bit cooler is the strong wind, from the southwest today at 15-25mph, gusting over 30mph.
