The 4th of July will continue to be steamy with high temperatures in the mid to upper-nineties and dew points in the low-seventies. There should be a little lake breeze in the afternoon for folks at Summerfest. Take it easy on Wednesday as it will be sunny and hot and humid for your holiday. The dangerous heat and humidity will last through the rest of the week with the best chance of a few showers or storms coming Thursday late afternoon or evening. • Dangerous Heat

The forecast for Milwaukee, Waukesha and SE Wisconsin is for more heat and humidity today and the rest of the week with a Heat Advisory for lakefront counties and Excessive Heat Warnings for areas west of Waukesha though Friday. After some morning clouds and rain showers kept temperatures down, the sun is out and temperatures are warming up rapidly and highs will be in the mid to upper 90s this afternoon with heat indices over 100 and a light southerly breeze.

  • Dangerous Heat and Humidity!

With a warm front lifting to our North, a strong Southwest wind will send our temperatures soaring even higher than yesterday. Readings will reach near 100 degrees throughout the area, including lakeside. Dewpoints will also continue their climb through the 60s to near 70 degrees leading to an oppressive combination of heat and humidity. The remarkably dry stretch continues, as well. To date, we are more than 3.1 inches below average for precipitation just since the beginning of June. The dangerous heat and humidity will last through the rest of the week with the best chance of a few showers or storms coming tonight. Have a great Tuesday and please stay safe in this heat!

  • The warmest day of the week and the summer so far hits Tuesday...

A Heat Advisory is in effect for all of southeast Wisconsin on Tuesday and for inland counties for the rest of the week. A big high pressure system to the south is pumpimg hot and humid air into Wisconsin, but the storm triggers are mainly north. This should create more quiet conditions through the rest of the week for southern Wisconsin. There will be plenty of sunshine with temperatures above normal readings in the mid to upper-90's tomorrow in most locations. Wednesday through Friday will be cooler at times along Lake Michigan's shoreline, so no heat advisory there. Tonight and Tuesday night will be warm and very humid, so very uncomfortable conditions.

  • Hot, Humid Week

The forecast for Milwaukee, Waukesha and SE Wisconsin is for hot and humid conditions all week and only a few scattered showers. A heat advisory is in effect for areas away from the lake today through Friday and for all of SE Wisconsin on Tuesday. Highs today will be in the 80s along the lake and 90s inland and very humid with scattered storms developing this afternoon.

  • Heat Wave Rolls On

Remember last week's dry, very warm stretch? Well, that's how much of this week should unfold again. The exception will be today as a frontal boundary meanders to our South, close enough to trigger some isolated or widely scattered showers and storms. An upper level ridge is building again through the center of the nation. This should create more quiet conditions through the rest of the week, and with plenty of sunshine temperatures will return to above normal readings in the upper 80s to upper 90s, though cooler at times along Lake Michigan's shoreline. Have a great week ahead!

  • Heat Continues with A Few Storm Chances

The southeast Wisconsin, Waukesha and Milwaukee forecast for most of the night will be, but there will be a slight chance of a T'storm. Lows will be in the upper-60's under partly cloudy skies at times.

  • Repeat forecast of hot & dry

Not much change in the forecast for southeast Wisconsin, it will be another hot day with mostly sunny skies. Temperatures inland will again be warmer, in the low 90s while a lake breeze will keep things cooler along Lake Michigan in the afternoon so highs will stay in the upper 80s there.

  • The Heat Just Continues

The southeast Wisconsin, Waukesha and Milwaukee forecast for the rest of the night will be quiet with partly cloudy skies at times. Overnight lows will be in the mid-60's.

  • More warm air for the weekend and only a small chance for storms...

With a warm front barely to our south, there will be a chance of scattered showers and T'storms tonight. The further you live to the north, the lesser the chance of storms tonight. Low temperatures will be in the upper-60's in most locations. There's a slight chance of a morning T'storm on Saturday, but most of the day will be just fine, except for the heat. Highs temperatures will be in the mid to upper-80's for our lakefront communities and Milwaukee temperatures before cooling down there and low-90's for Waukesha and inland temperatures. The slight chance of storms will continue on Saturday night. Most of the night will be fine with lows in the upper-60's under partly cloudy skies. On Sunday most of the day should be fine with sunny to partly cloudy skies. High temperatures will top out in the upper-80's for our lakefront communities and Milwaukee temperatures before cooling down there and low-90's for Waukesha and inland temperatures. There will be a better chance of storms late Sunday night or into early Monday, but no big rains expected on any day.

  • Only a Chance of Storms Tonight.

The southeast Wisconsin, Waukesha and Milwaukee forecast for the rest of the night has a chance of scattered showers and T'storms later tonight. The further you live to the north, the lesser the chance of storms tonight. Lows will be in the upper-60's.

  • Still Hot But Less Humid

  • Hot air is still around, but humidity is leaving for tonight and tomorrow

A cold front has passed through southeast Wisconsin bringing less humid air into the area. Overnight low temperatures under clear skies will be around seventy degrees. Even with that frontal passage, temperatures will remain well above average and hot through the weekend, with nineties in Milwaukee likely through the period. The high temperature on Friday will be 91 and it hits 93 degrees on Saturday. The best chance for showers and thunderstorms hit on Friday night and early Saturday. Light winds will allow a bit of a lake breeze to develop cooling things off very close to Lake Michigan at Summerfest.

  • Heat Advisory

The forecast for Milwaukee, Waukesha and SE Wisconsin is for heat, humidity and dangerous heat indices approaching 105 degrees today. Highs will be in the mid 90s..in the shade. Add about 15 degrees to that if you are out in the sun. A weak cold front will bring relief from the humidity for Friday, but it remains sunny and hot with highs in the lower 90s. It will be cooler at the lake in the afternoon with a light lake breeze.

  • Sizzle and Steam!

The big "blocking" ridge in the upper levels of the atmosphere which has kept things quiet and very hot for us will begin to "flatten" a bit today. That combined with a very weak cool front could lead to some additional clouds and even an isolated thunderstorm this afternoon and evening, though most of us will continue with the very dry conditions. Even with that frontal passage, temperatures will remain well above average and hot through the weekend, with 90s in the area likely through the period. Light winds will allow a bit of a lake breeze to develop cooling things off very close to Lake Michigan. Have a great Thursday and stay cool!

  • A heat advisory in effect for Milwaukee on Thursday...

Skies will be mostly clear tonight and the winds calm down but temperatures stay warm, in the mid-70s with increasing humidity by the dawn hours. Mid to upper-nineties move in for Thursday and along with dew points in the sixties to low-seventies it will feel much more uncomfortable. There is a heat advisory posted for all of southern Wisconsin that starts at noon and ends at 8 pm in the evening. A weak cold front shifts our winds to the north late in the day and that cold front could touch off a few scattered showers or thunderstorms. Friday will be a little less humiod but still rather warm, with high temperatures in the upper-eighties.
