  • Cooler but a lot more comfortable

After many locations picked up a tenth of an inch up to almost a half an inch of rain from Saturday's cold front, we will see much drier weather today. Sunday in southeast Wisconsin will be sunny, cooler by ten degrees with lower humidity. Highs will be in the upper 70s and low 80s but it will feel a little cooler because of a breezy NW wind at 10-20mph. Overall it will be almost a perfect day with comfortable conditions. Open the windows up tonight and give the AC a break as temperatures dip down into the 50s for everyone under mostly clear skies.

  • Warm and sticky with a chance for afternoon storms

It will be a warm and muggy day with temperatures topping out around 90 degrees, though it will be slightly cooler at the lakefront. Southeast Wisconsin will watch the cloud cover increase to partly cloudy skies by the afternoon when a few isolated showers or storms are possible.

  • A hot and stormy start to the weekend...

Clear to partly cloudy skies overnight but the humidity is creeping upward in southeast Wisconsin. A warm front approaches us from the South and sends our high temperatures right back up to around ninety degrees. We should still get some sunshine for the early part of the day while in the warm sector, but a cold front will slam into the area by Saturday evening. That front will trigger a few showers and thunderstorms late in the day and through the early part of Saturday night. Some of those storms could be strong to severe. Sunshine and cooler, more seasonal temperatures and lower humidities return for Sunday.

  • Summery Sun, Heat, & Humidity

High pressure has taken control of our weather for Friday and will bring plenty of sunshine and still very warm and humid air lingering in Southeast Wisconsin. A warm front approaches us from the South on Saturday and sends our high temperatures right back up into the 90s. We should still get some sunshine for the early part of the day, while in the warm sector, but a cold front will slam into the area by Saturday evening. That will trigger some showers and thunderstorms late in the day and through Saturday night. With a powerful jet stream in our vicinity and enough wind shear climbing through the atmosphere, the potential exists for these storms to be strong or even severe. Sunshine and cooler, more seasonal temperatures return for Sunday.

  • A quiet Friday before heat, humidty and storms return for Saturday...

A weak cold front has moved through and it is causing a few isolated showers especially north of Milwaukee overnight. Low temperatures under partly cloudy skies will be around seventy degrees and then northeast winds for Friday keeps it near the low-eighties lakeside to around ninety inland. Friday night will be warm and a bit more humid and then heat and humidity retuns on Saturday. At this point it looks like some showers and potentially strong or even severe storms could fire up Saturday afternoon into Saturday night. The cold front that generates these storms cools us dramatically by Sunday.

Second verse, same as the first. With surface high pressure in place across the Great Lakes, we'll get more sunshine, but even a bit warmer temperatures. Some locations, especially inland, will top out near 90 degrees.
