Overnight lows will bottom out in the low-60's for our lakefront communities and Milwaukee temperatures and upper-50's for our inland areas and Waukesha temperatures.

  • Beautiful weekend!

Expect a practically perfect weekend with low humidity, temperatures near normal in the upper 70s and plenty of sunshine. High pressure keeps us dry today and will eventually tone the winds down to make this a very comfortable Saturday. A bit of patchy fog is possible tonight but most of southeast Wisconsin will see mostly clear skies, almost spot on weather to catch the Perseids meteor shower tonight, just a little on the cool side.

  • Sunshine and pleasant, dry air for the weekend...

Clear skies will rule overnight and th gusty winds from Friday will be diminishing. Minimum temperatures will be comfortably cool with dry air and low temperatures in the lower to middle fifties. High pressure building in from the North settles over our area for the weekend leading to an abundance of sunshine, lighter winds, and gradually warming temperatures. By Sunday high temperatures should rise to seasonal averages in the upper-70's. The next opportunity for rain rolls in late Sunday night and on Monday.

  • Few Lingering Drops But Sun Soon

The upper level low that helped bring us all the clouds and some rain yesterday is slowly working its way East. Its position will lead to a strong North-Northeast wind which could sprout some lingering Lake Effect rain showers in our Eastern counties. High pressure building in from the North will help break up the clouds elsewhere, especially well West and North of Milwaukee. That ridge settles over our area for the weekend leading to an abundance of sunshine, lighter winds, and gradually warming temperatures. By Sunday high temperatures should rise to seasonal averages in the upper 70s. Have a great Friday and a terrific weekend!

  • The rain slowly ends tonight and dry air rolls in for late Friday and the weekend...

There may be a few isolated showers or a thundershower overnight, most coming in off Lake Michigan. There may also be an isolated shower in the early morning hours on Friday. Low temperatures Thursday night will range from the mid-fifties to around sixty degrees. The cooler Canadian air will keep our highs below average in the low to mid 70s, for a change, through Saturday. Clouds will decrease through the day on Friday setting up a rather sunny weekend. High temperatures will be in the mid to upper-seventies, with dry air and lots of sunshine for your coming weekend weather.

  • Finally!! A Rainy Day!

The forecast for Milwaukee, Waukesha and SE Wisconsin is for the first gray, cool, rainy day of the summer...just what we needed. It looks and feels like fall out side with highs struggling to reach 70 along with a brisk NE wind and rain showers. This is exactly the type of rain we needed...a long duration, light to moderate rainfall that could add to up nearly an inch by Friday morning. The rain showers continue today, tonight and into early Friday morning. No severe weather is possible, but you may here a few rumbles of thunder.

  • Damp & Chilly

An upper level trough will start digging into our region today bringing with it grey skies, cooler temperatures, and periods of rain with a few thundershowers. As that trough closes off and starts heading to our East as a low we'll have an opportunity for more wet weather through early Friday morning, particularly boosted by a Northeasterly flow helping to trigger some Lake Effect showers, too. The cooler Canadian air will keep our highs below average in the low to mid 70s, for a change, through Saturday. Clouds will decrease through the day on Friday setting up a rather bright weekend. Have a great Thursday!

  • Rain is in the forecast at times for the next 36 hours

Rain moved in late Wednesday and occasional light rain showers will be around through Friday morning. A low pressure system moves right at southern Wisconsin tonight and tomorrow. With winds out of the Northeast, temperatures will be much cooler than we have seen much of this summer, closer to seasonal averages with high temperatures in the mid to upper-seventies. Showers and perhaps a thundershower will be scattered throughout the area on Thursday with some diminshment through the overnight hours. After the rain departs, another ridge of high pressure should bring more sunshine for the weekend and temperatures will be noticeably cooler with highs only in the middle-70's for a stretch of several days.

High pressure briefly takes control of our weather for Wednesday. A more vigorous disturbance is organizing to our West and will begin spreading more clouds into our area through the day. With winds out of the Northeast, temperatures will be much cooler than yesterday, closer seasonal average highs near 80 degrees. That new wave approaches Southeast Wisconsin this evening and should begin triggering some showers through the night. Those showers and perhaps a thundershower will be scattered throughout the region on Thursday with some diminshment through the overnight hours. After the rain departs, another ridge should bring more sunshine for the work week's completion and temperatures will be noticeably cooler with highs only in the 70s for a stretch of several days. Have a great Wednesday!

  • Wednesday will be very pleasant before clouds and showers return...

Skies will be clear overnight and there will be less humid air rolling in from the north, arriving by morning. Wednesday will be sunny and pleasant with winds off Lake Michigan from the northeast. High temperatures will be in the middle seventies near the lake to near eighty degrees well inland. Another disturbance approaching on Wednesday night and Thursday will give us a better chance of more widespread showers and thunderstorms and send temperatures into the mid-70's. By the end of the week and into the weekend highs will only reach the mid 70s, which is below average for this part of August in Milwaukee.

The forecast for Milwaukee, Waukesha and SE Wisconsin is for sunshine, low humidity and highs near 90 before a weak cold front moves in with a few clouds and an isolated shower this afternoon...most of us remain dry. Lows drop back into the 60s tonight and even a few upper 50s inland and Wednesday will be mostly sunny with highs in the upper 70s along the lake and lower 80s inland. Clouds increase during the afternoon with a slight chance of a shower west of Milwaukee. Showers and a few thunderstorms become likely Wednesday night and Thursday with highs only in the low to mid 70s....it will look and feel like fall.

  • Toasty Tuesday

A cool front sinking down from Canada will pass through our area today, but with very little moisture in the air, any widespread precipitation will be hard to come by, though there could be an isolated shower or thunderstorm. The front will shift our winds around to the Northwest late in the day signaling a downturn in temperatures. Another disturbance approaching on Wednesday night and Thursday will give us a better chance of more widespread showers and thunderstorms and send readings down a bit more. By the end of the week and into the weekend highs will only reach the mid 70s, which is below average for a change. Have a great Tuesday!

  • Much warmer for Tuesday with a chance for a shower...

Clear skies will prevail for much of the night before a few clouds roll in very late. With dew points very low, our air will feel quite comfortable. A cool front approaches Southeast Wisconsin Tuesday afternoon bringing a threat for showers, but with such little moisture any showers or thundershowers will be few and far between. The biggest change will be in wind direction. Most of Tuesday will have a Southwest breeze changing to a light Northwest breeze by the evening under partly cloudy skies. This will trigger cooler temperatures on Wednesday and for the remainder of the week. The best opportunity for rain occurs on Thursday in Milwaukee.
