  • The day after Thanksgiving will be windy and colder...

    Skies will remain partly to mostly cloudy overnight as temperatures plummet behind the Thursday night cold front. Low temperatures will fall to around thirty degrees in southeast Wisconsin and it will also be very windy. Black Friday will be rather frigid as reading only reach the middle-thirties. There could even be a few passing flurries amidst a partly to mostly cloudy sky as the new cold airmass takes hold of the region. The winds will be fierce from the northwest at 12 to 25 miles per hour. The colder air will stay around through the weekend nd much of next week.

  • Top Ten Turkey Day!

    Departing high pressure and an approaching low pressure will combine to boost our winds for Thanksgiving Day. A huge surge of warm air will push our temperatures to near record levels. It looks like we'll have one of the warmest Thanksgivings in Milwaukee history. We'll start with more sunshine and quiet conditions, but a powerful cold front to our West will increase our clouds through the holiday. Late in the day there could be some scattered showers which linger into the evening, though these shouldn't be a big deal. Skies will clear a bit overnight as temperatures plummet behind the boundary. Black Friday will be rather frigid compared to today as reading only reach the mid to upper 30s. There could even be a few passing flurries amidst a partly to mostly cloudy sky as the new cold airmass takes hold of the region. Have a wonderful holiday!

  • A very warm Thanksgiving for Milwaukee...

    Mostly clear skies are on tap for Wednesday night with mild temperatures in the mid to lower-forties. Travel should be unhampered by any troublesome weather around our region not only tonight but through the weekend. While Thanksgiving Thursday starts with sunshine, we'll notice an increase in clouds as a powerful cold front approaches from the West. This could trigger a few showers late in the day and into the evening, but the chance is small. Temperatures will soar into the low or middle sixties, and it will be one of the warmest Thnnaksgiving Days on record for Milwaukee. Temperature readings will plummet to barely 40 degrees on "Black Friday" and there may be a few flurries around on Friday, also.

  • Warm Thanksgiving

    After early morning dense for, the forecast for Milwaukee, Waukesha and SE Wisconsin os for sunshine, SW winds and highs in the upper 50s to 60 degrees....a beautiful day for travel in Wisconsin and the Midwest.

  • Dense Fog 'Til Midmorning Then Ton O' Sun

    With warm air lifting into our region and light winds, widespread dense fog has rolled into Wisconsin leading to "pea soup" conditions which should continue through mid morning. A ridge at the surface and in the upper levels of the atmosphere will provide quiet weather conditions here and for hundreds of miles around us today. After the fog, we'll have an abundance of sunshine with gentle Southwest winds driving our temperatures into the upper 50s. Travel should be unhampered by any troublesome weather around our region through the weekend. While Thanksgiving Thursday starts with sunshine, we'll notice an increase in clouds as a powerful cold front approaches from the West. This could trigger a few showers late in the day and into the evening. The boundary's bigger impact will be on temperatures. Readings will plummet from almost 60 degrees on "Turkey-day" to barely 40 degrees on "Black Friday." Be safe on the roads and have a wonderful Wednesday!

  • Warmer air moves in after the morning fog on Wednesday...

    Skies clear out but dense fog forms overnight, with a Dense Fog Advisory issued for all of southeast Wisconsin this Tuesday night. Temperatures will fall between 33 and 37 degrees across southeast Wisconsin. Patchy fog will stick around in the morning, and may cause a few early morning travel issues across the region. The rest of Wednesday will be mostly sunny with high temperatures near 60 degrees. The dry weather persists into most of Thanksgiving Day, though there could be an isolated shower in the evening after high temperatures close in on 60 degrees for a second day in a row. Look for a dramatic change in temperatures as a powerful cold front sweeps through the state Thanksgiving night dropping temperatures into the upper-30's to around forty degrees by Black Friday and the weekend.

  • Hazy & Warm

    The forecast for Milwaukee, Waukesha and SE Wisconsin is for hazy sunshine, a light westerly breeze and highs in the mid 50s...about 10 degrees above normal. Lows tonight will drop into the upper 30s with the patchy fog redeveloping. If you are leaving early Wednesday morning, there will be patchy fog, but it won't be dense and will burn off quickly. The rest of Wednesday is ideal for traveling with sun, a light southerly wind and highs near 60. The only area in the country with travel problems will be from Seattle to Portland, otherwise it is sunny and mild...great for traveling!

  • Gradual Improvement

    High pressure at the surface will slowly take control of our weather beginning today helping to gradually scour out the clouds from Monday. In addition, a building ridge in the upper levels of the atmosphere will allow warmer temperatures to bubble into our region. Our clouds will slowly decrease throughout the day leading to mainly clear skies with just a bit of patchy fog tonight and a ton of sunshine for Wednesday. The dry weather should persist into Thanksgiving Day, though there could be an isolated shower late. High temperatures on both days should touch 60 degress, leaping past the 44 degree average high for this time of year. Look for a dramatic change in temperatures as a powerful cold front sweeps through the state dropping temperatures by Black Friday and the weekend. Have a great Tuesday!

  • The mild weather continues Tuesday through Thursday for Milwaukee...

    A weak cold front which was nothing more than a wind shift from southwest to northwest brought a few light showers overnight and plenty of clouds. There will also be a chance for a little fog late tonight and temperatures will be very mild with lows in the middle forties. High pressure slowly moves in for Tuesday and that system will usher in improving sky conditions through Tuesday with plenty of sunshine and even warmer readings by midweek. High temperatures on Tuesday will make it to the middle-fifties but look for high temperatures in the upper-50's to near 60 degrees through Thanksgiving Day. Colder air will move back to Milwaukee on shopping Day Friday.

  • Mild....Dry

    The forecast for Milwaukee, Waukesha and SE Wisconsin is for clouds today with a few isolated areas of drizzle or sprinkles with highs in the lower 50s. A few isolated showers or sprinkles are also possible tonight with clouds, fog and lows in the mid 40s...the normal high for this week.

  • Quiet Holiday Week Ahead

    After a sunny, warm, and dry weekend the quiet weather persists into the holiday week with only a couple of flies in the ointment. A weak disturbance tracks through our area late today and tonight. We continue to have very dry air in place, but this ripple in the atmosphere may be enough to trigger a few sprinkles or showers, mainly tonight. A few lingering sprinkes and clouds will greet us tomorrow before high pressure begins building back into the region. This will usher in improving sky conditions through Tuesday with plenty of sunshine and even warmer readings by midweek. Look for high temperatures in the 50s to near 60 degrees through Thanksgiving.

  • Mild with a Stray Sprinkle Possible Monday

    The southeast Wisconsin, Waukesha and Milwaukee forecast for the rest of your Sunday night will again be quiet and mild with increasing clouds. Overnight lows will drop into the upper-30's.

  • Another great day!

    After a bit of patchy fog we will see another beautiful day in southeast Wisconsin with highs close to ten degrees above average and mostly sunny skies. A mild night with partly cloudy conditions and a slight SSE wind can be expected.

  • A Fairly Mild and Quiet Stretch

    The southeast Wisconsin, Waukesha and Milwaukee forecast for the rest of your Saturday night will have partly cloudy skies and mild conditions.. Overnight lows will drop into the upper-30's for our Milwaukee temperature and lakefront communities, and low-30's for Waukesha's temperature and inland areas.

  • A beautiful weekend ahead for Milwaukee with sunshine and warm air...

    Clear skies will continue overnight and that will allow temperatures to drop into the upper-twenties inland and low-thirties at the lakeshore. There may be some patchy fog around, especially inland. Mostly sunny skies will prevail this weekend as high pressure continues meandering through the center of the nation. It's impact will be felt around here with several more peaceful days and plenty of sunshine through the weekend. Maximum temperatures in the low to mid-50's should be common around the area even into the middle of next week.

  • Mild Weekend

    The forecast for Milwaukee, Waukesha and SE Wisconsin is for a few clouds along the lakefront and highs in the mid to upper 40s with a light NE breeze. Tonight will be mostly clear and seasonal with lows in the mid 30s along the lake and some patchy fog. Saturday's sunrise is at 6:48 for the deer hunters. It will be mostly sunny with highs in the lower 50s and a SE wind at 5-15 mph.

  • Peaceful Period Persists!

    Some patchy fog developed overnight and will continue to have an impact on the area early this morning. Additionally, some Lake Effect clouds will linger in our Eastern communities, but eventually mostly sunny skies will prevail as high pressure continues meandering through the center of the nation. Its impact will be felt around here with several more peaceful days and plenty of sunshine through the weekend. In addtion, after dipping a couple of degrees today, we'll notice a distinct uptick in temperatures for Saturday and Sunday as the jet stream lifts to our North. Maximum mercury in the low to mid 50s should be common around the area even into early next week. Have a great Friday and a terrific weekend!

  • More sunshine but cooler on Friday...

    High pressure will build in from the West decreasing the clouds overnight, although there could be some patchy fog that develops late and then lingers into Friday morning. Eventually we'll see more sunshine for partly cloudy skies on Friday with seasonal highs in the middle-forties. The wind will turn southerly again by Saturday so temperatures will soar into the low-fifties on both days. The pleasantly quiet conditions should persist not only into the weekend but into much of next week.

  • Mild & Dry

    The forecast for Milwaukee, Waukesha and SE Wisconsin is for hazy sunshine, highs in the upper 40s and a light southerly breeze....actually a normal day for once. Lows tonight will be near freezing along the lake and in the upper 20s inland with patchy fog. A weak cold front with shift the wind to the NE on Friday and highs will be in the mid 40s with a lot of sun.

  • Peaceful Stretch Continues

    Another small disturbance will pass to our North today leading to some cloudiness again. We could even see a few passing flurries, but with so much dry air still in place at the surface, any measurable precipitation will be avoided. With a growing Southerly wind, our temperatures will climb a few degrees higher than yesterday with reading reaching the upper 40s to near 50 degrees. That's about average for this time of year. High pressure will build in from the West decreasing the clouds overnight, though there could be some patchy fog that develops late and then lingers into Friday morning. Eventually we'll see more sunshine Friday with seasonal highs in the mid 40s. The pleasantly quiet conditions should persist into the weekend. Have a great Thursday!
