The forecast for Milwaukee, Waukesha and SE Wisconsin is for temperatures to hold steady near freezing and clouds to increase as the powerful low pressure system moves into the state from the west. Light snow is expected after 3am and there could be a dusting of snow by sunrise. A rain/snow mix continues until mid morning and then the precipitation changes to all rain the rest of the day in Milwaukee and areas south with highs near 40. The mix will continue to the north and it will be all snow in Green Bay with 1-2" of snow during tailgating and another 1-2" during the game with temperatures near freezing.

Southeastern Wisconsin saw a light rain/snow mix last night from a storm system that has now pushed east of the area. A few flurries are possible mainly in the morning but today will be the better day out of the weekend with a bit of clearing throughout the middle of the day. It will still be partly to mostly cloudy though temperatures will be mild: hovering near 40 degrees in Milwaukee. Cloud cover increases tonight as two areas of low pressure edge closer to southeastern Wisconsin, overnight temperatures will drop into the low 30s.

Tonight a weak low pressure system passes to our south and as it does, a few scattered rain or snow showers are likely. If we see any snow accumulation, it will be light and mainly to the north and west of Milwaukee County. Overnight lows will bottom out in the mid-30's for our lakefront communities and Milwaukee temperatures, and around 30 degrees for Waukesha and inland temperatures. Saturday will be the calm before the storm with mostly cloudy skies and high temperatures around 40 degrees. A rain and snow mix hits after midnight Saturday night and continues as rain on Sunday. Dress for snow if you are going to the Packers game Sunday night.

The forecast for Milwaukee, Waukesha and SE Wisconsin is for clouds, sprinkles and highs in the lower 40s for your Friday. A weak storm system moves into the area this evening and overnight with a rain snow mix and enough accumulation to end the snowless streak. I am expecting less than a half inch of accumulation mainly on the grassy surfaces overnight with lows near 32. After morning flurries, Saturday will be partly cloudy with highs in the lower 40s.

Overnight low temperatures will bottom out in the mid-30's for our lakefront communities and Milwaukee temperatures and low-30's for inland areas and Waukesha's temperature. Clouds rolled in tonight and temperatures will be a little warmer than last night with overnight low temperatures in the lower-thirties. Southerly winds have kicked in already so high temperatures on Thursday will rebound into the middle-forties. A warm front moving through will touch off a few rain showers Thursday night and most of the precipitation will be gone by mid-morning on Friday. While most of Friday is dry a weak low pressure system to the south will keep a chance for light snow or rain mixed friday night. That could be the first light but measurable snowfall for southeast Wisconsin. The next chance comes on Sunday and Sunday night ith a larger storm to the south of the state. Stay tuned!

After four days with unseasonably warm temperatures for December, it's back to reality today. It may feel like a cold snap with wind chills in the teens this morning and high temperatures only in the upper 30s but that's close to average for early December. It will look nice again with mostly sunny skies but temperatures will be almost 20 degrees colder than Tuesday.

Skies will be clear and the air will be dry tonight as the cooler air rolls into southeast Wisconsin. Temperatures will drop into the low or middle twenties tonight. After an incredibly warm start to December, temperatures return to normal for Wednesday with high temperatures in the upper-thirties under mostly sunny skies. The cool down will be short-lived as warmer air moves back late Wednesday night bringing in a few clouds, also. Thursday will be mostly cloudy with temperatures back into the middle-forties.

We hit 65 degrees on Monday in Milwaukee, breaking the record high temperature of 64 degrees from 1998. But a cold front that brought rain and a few thunderstorms through southeastern Wisconsin will be responsible for slightly cooler temperatures today. Winds will be breezy from the west at 10-15mph but it will look and feel better today thanks to the sunshine. High temperatures will stay 10-15 degrees above average in the low 50s.
