Mostly dry for Sunday

CREATED Apr. 21, 2013

We will see more clouds in southeastern Wisconsin on this Sunday as a warm front moves through this morning.  That may bring a stray shower or brief period of a light wintry mix to the north and west but the majority of the day will be dry.  Temperatures will increase into the upper 40s under a breezy SE wind at 10-15 mph.  Mostly cloudy skies will blanket overnight lows in the upper 30s to 40 degrees along Lake Michigan.

The warm front will be felt on Monday as highs climb into the upper 50s and low 60s with nice southerly breeze.  A cold front approaches during the afternoon hours to increase the cloud cover and bring a slight chance of a shower back into the forecast but it will not be a wash.  Clouds thicken up and chances for rain become better heading into Tuesday morning as the cold front swings through.  The umbrella will be needed on Tuesday with occasional showers and a stray thunderstorm possible but rainfall accumulation will only be near a quarter of an inch so this will not be a flooding rain.

A drier stretch of weather is expected from Wednesday through Friday with temperatures climbing back to normal by the end of the week.  Rain chances return on Friday night but the dry weather will help drop levels on flooded rivers.
