Brief break

CREATED Apr 13, 2013

After a few early morning light snow showers that won't accumulate to much it will be a much drier day in southeastern Wisconsin.  It will still be cold for April with highs only climbing into the low 40s and it will feel colder with a strong westerly wind at 10-20mph.  Clouds will start to increase overnight tonight as the winds calm down but temps stay hovering near the freezing mark.  We desperately need this drier day to help some of the rivers recess before we add more rain again by Sunday morning.  A few snowflakes could mix in during the early morning hours before changing back over to rain.  Precipitation chances taper off by the afternoon hours and most of the evening should stay dry but still cold.

A warm front moves in on Sunday night which will increase temperatures overnight and bring another chance for rain and thunderstorms.  Rain becomes more widespread on Monday as highs return to the 50s but with the wind and the clouds, it won't feel much warmer.  Most locations will see a quarter to a half inch of rain in the bucket from this system.

We catch another brief break on Tuesday and Wednesday before yet another weather-maker moves in Wednesday night, bringing rain back into the forecast.  Temperatures will get colder as the week carries so rain showers will mix with snow showers by Friday with highs barely climbing out of the 40s.
