Rain done for today but a lot more on the way

Rain showers this morning brought close to a half an inch of water to much of southeastern Wisconsin but showers will diminish by the afternoon.  Some folks in the southwest may even see a bit of sunshine working through the clouds, helping bump up temperatures into the mid to upper 50s.  Locations in the northeast will be stuck in the 40s under more cloud cover.  Clouds thicken up tonight and temperatures remain seasonal for April overnight, hovering near 40 degrees.

Keep the umbrella close on Tuesday another round of rain moves in during the morning hours and scattered showers and occasional thunderstorms are possible throughout the day.  This will be a colder rain with highs only in the 40s and many spots pick up another half an inch to three quarters of an inch.  Rain chances continue Tuesday night and into Wednesday with another inch of rain possible.  Colder air works in and there could be a period of snow and freezing rain mixing in Wednesday night and Thursday morning.  There will not be much snow accumulation but we are keeping a close eye on the freezing rain and wintry mix potential.

We finally dry out for Friday and Saturday after many locations pick up 1.50"-3.00" of rain total during the week.
