Umbrella needed again

CREATED Mar 10, 2013

The cold March rain continues through this Sunday in southeast Wisconsin, we could get a few breaks midday with the better chance of rain coming yet again this evening.  Most locations could pick up an additional 0.75" today and tonight so try to keep those storm drains clear to keep up with the rain and melting snow.

Colder air wraps in late tonight and that will gradually change the rain over to snow in the northwest and bring a wintry mix in the southeast.  It will be a breezy night with precipitation chances continuing into Monday.  By the afternoon folks in the northwest will see 1-2" of snow and just a trace is expected in the southeast.  The heaviest snow is expected from La Crosse through Wausau northeast to Menominee, MI where 4-7" is possible.  If this storm shifts south we could see our totals increased slightly.

Slightly cool temperatures for March are anticipated for the rest of the work week with a few scattered chances for light rain and snow.
