Snow moves in late tonight

CREATED Mar 4, 2013

Most of this Monday will be quiet with increasing clouds throughout the morning hours, highs will top out near 30 degrees in southeast Wisconsin.  A  few light snow showers are possible through the afternoon but little accumulation is expected.

Snow begins to move in and become more widespread from the southwest after midnight tonight, most locations will have an inch to wake up to on Tuesday morning.  Then it will be a snowy and windy day with another longer duration snow expected.  Snow may become heavy at times and since the wind will be strong off the lake, blowing snow and some lake enhanced snow is possible.  Most locations will see a good 4-6" of snow during the day with higher amounts possible in any heavy snow bands that may develop.  Snow continues to fall on Tuesday night but should start to diminish after midnight, that would give many areas an additional 1-2".  The storm track could still change but at this point a good part of southeast Wisconsin could see 6-10" of snow with locally higher amounts possible.

Quieter weather returns Wednesday afternoon and highs stay in the 30s until the weekend when a few 40s are possible.  After this 2nd snowstorm, we'll be talking about rain potential by Saturday night and into Sunday.
