Skies start out clear early then partly cloudy skies late and temperatures will be cold. Overnight low temperatures will range from 12 degrees at the lakefront to 3 degrees well inland with wind chills down to five below zero. Thursday promises to be a period of transition as readings slowly rise and clouds gradually increase ahead of the next storm system with a few flurries late. That low pressure will approach from the Southwest and start spreading snow into Southern Wisconsin Thursday night into Friday with 3 to 5 inches of accumulation likely by Friday evening. A winter weather advisory beins at midnight Thursday and runs until 6 pm on Friday for all of southeast Wisconsin.
