It will be a cold but quiet weekend in southeastern Wisconsin with highs mainly in the teens today, climbing near 20 degrees in Milwaukee. Partly cloudy skies may produce a few very light flurries throughout the middle of the day, no accumulation is expected. A persistent NW wind at 10 mph will make it feel more like temperatures are in the single digits above and below zero today. Overnight lows drop into the single digits inland with temperatures hovering near 10 degrees at the lakefront. Sunday will be the better day of the weekend with mostly sunny skies, slightly warmer temperatures and a lighter wind becoming south.
A warm front moves in on Sunday night, increasing the winds and clouds, keeping temperatures in the low 20s. That front bumps highs into the 40s and brings rain by Monday afternoon but a cold front quickly trails behind and any rain shower changes over to a snow shower by late Monday evening. Accumulations will be light and by Tuesday morning most locations won't even have an inch of new snow. Quiet conditions are again expected Tuesday afternoon through Thursday afternoon. Thursday evening we are closely watching storm system that will bring a good chance for shoveling snow. Stay tuned!
