The forecast for Milwaukee, Waukesha and SE Wisconsin is for the clouds to return after a sunny start to the day, and more light snow and flurries after 4pm with a dusting of snow this evening. Highs today will be near 30 and lows tonight stay in the upper 20s. The light snow continues overnight with 1-2" of accumulation by morning. With temperatures near freezing, sleet and freezing rain could mix with the snow south of Milwaukee.
A Winter Storm Warning goes into effect at 6am for all of SE Wisconsin until midnight with an additional 2-5" of snow. The heaviest snow will fall between 6am and 1pm Thursday before tapering off to light snow and flurries the rest of the day. This will be a more sticky snow with highs in the lower 30s and the wind will be light.
The sky clear out Thursday night with lows in the 20s and Friday and Saturday will be sunny and breezy with highs near freezing.
The next storm system arrives late Sunday with a rain/snow mix as highs get snow to 40 degrees. The snow continues into Monday as temperatures begin to drop.
