After a few morning flurries, the majority of this Sunday in southeast Wisconsin will be relatively quiet. Temperatures remain cold, in the teens, with partly cloudy skies but it will feel colder with a strong breeze from the WNW at 10-15mph.
Another Alberta Clipper moves into southeastern Wisconsin tonight, bringing light snow showers mainly after 10pm tonight. That's when a Winter Weather Advisory begins for our southern counties as light, fluffy snow will continue to fall overnight. Most snowfall accumulations in the advisory will be between three and four inches but some spots could top five inches, especially south and west of Milwaukee and Waukesha. Folks in the north are not under the advisory but may still see one to two inches of snow. Since the snow will again be incredibly fluffy, it will be easily blown around, dropping visibilities for the morning commute on Monday. Plan to add some extra time into your drive with the falling and blowing snow. Any snow shower diminishes by Monday afternoon but yet another clipper system moves in by Tuesday night, so an additional 1-2" can be expected by Tuesday night.
Temperatures slowly increase throughout the week and we climb above freezing on Thursday. Another storm system swings through then however and that means snow will change to a rain/snow mix by Thursday afternoon. Friday and Saturday look nice with dry conditions and temperatures in the 30s.
