Dangerous cold has settled into Southeast Wisconsin and all of the North Central United States. Wind chill readings around the Milwaukee area are starting the day in the area of 20 degrees below zero. Brisk West breezes will continue through the day, but should finally diminish later tonight. With high pressure making a brief appearance, we'll notice plenty of sunshine, too. As winds shift around to the Southwest, we'll notice some moderation in the mercury for the weekend, though readings will remain seasonally cold near 20 degrees. Weak disturbances roll through later tonight and into Saturday and again Saturday night bringing a risk of some patchy light snow with accumulation of an inch or two with each. Sunshine quickly returns for Sunday.
Stay safe and warm and have a GREAT weekend!
