Polar Plunge Pulls In

The "Arctic Express," a "Polar Plunge," whatever you call it, the cold has come into Southeast Wisconsin and we'll be dealing with this bitter blast through tomorrow night.  Temperatures will barely recover into the teens today and won't get out of the single digits tomorrow with below zero lows tonight.  In addition, continued whipping winds out of the Northwest will send wind chill readings plunging to 15 below zero tonight.  On the back side of the departing storm system we'll still see some patchy light snow, though no significant additional accumulation is expected.  High pressure building in for Friday should usher in a return to sunshine.  Look for some moderation in mercury heading into the weekend with readings approaching seasonal averages in the upper 20s by Sunday.
Stay safe and warm in the bitter cold!
