The Arctic Express has arrived in a big way. We'll experience the coldest temperatures of the season. With bitter Northwest breezes continuing, wind chills will be as low as 25 degrees below zero early today. With high pressure pushing into the area, the wind will ease up just a bit through the day, still ranging from 10 to 15 miles per hour. Sunshine should fill the sky as a quiet pattern persists. Once the jet steam lifts a bit farther North and our winds at the surface shift more Southerly, we'll see temperatures moderate slightly. Readings will rise back into the low 20s by midweek. That's still 5 to 10 degrees below average for this time of year.
Stay safe in this dangerous cold!
