Blustery & Bitter Blast!

CREATED Jan 21, 2013

The jet stream has finally dug a deep trough into our region allowing the Arctic air to come pouring into Southeast Wisconsin.  A bitter blast will be the main headline through midweek.  The deepest cold air will settle into the area overnight tonight.  After a maximum reading today near 7 degrees, low temperatures will plummet to zero or below overnight into early tomorrow morning.  Growing winds out of the Northwest will also drive wind chill readings as low as 25 degrees below zero early tomorrow morning.  Dry air accompanies the cold leading to plenty of sunshine to start the week.  The frigid air remains in tact through midweek with some moderation expected by Thursday.  That's also when an increase in moisture could lead to some snow.
Stay warm and have a great week!
