The warm air stays, but here comes clouds and rain for Thursday and Thursday night...

A larger storm system brewing in the Southern plains will finally break the quiet pattern with a surge of moisture sending rain into the region late Thursday into very early Friday. The clouds from that storm system will be here by morning and the rain then follows mainly by Thursday evening and overnight Thursday night. Temperatures under cloudy skies on Thursday will be in the lower forties.  Get ready for readings to reach near 50 degrees for Friday and Saturday before an Arctic cold front sends the mercury plummetting back into the 20s for Sunday.
