Sunny, Windy, & Warm

CREATED Jan 7, 2013

High pressure has worked back into our area and will lead to a day of bright sunshine.  The quiet pattern continues until midweek.  With the jet stream lifting well to our North, Arctic air remains locked up in Canada and temperatures around here could reach near 40 degrees over the next couple of days and rise to the mid 40s by late week.  Meantime, a developing upper level disturbance in the Western US will push into the Midwest by the second half of the week leading to the potential for some rain.  Bottom line: quiet first half of the week, wet second half of the week, warm all the way through.
Enjoy the warm weather and have a great week!
