A broad area of high pressure has pushed into the center of the nation and is speading clearing skies our way. We'll have plenty of sunshine and our warming trend continues with high temperatures finally approaching the seasonal average near 30 degrees. Unfortunately, we won't be able to enjoy the rising mercury very much today because winds will whip out of the West with gusts to 30 miles per hour dropping wind chill readings into the single digits to near 10 degrees early. If you enjoy warmer readings, though, there's good news. It appears the jet stream will lift well to the North locking the Arctic air up in Canada and allowing a moderating trend to continue through next week. In fact, maximum mercury could approach 40 degrees by the middle of next week. Meantime for folks heading to the Packers game tomorrow night, conditions will be quiet for the drive there and back, though there could be some patchy flurries, drizzle, and freezing drizzle. At Lambeau, the kickoff weather will be partly to mostly cloudy with temperatures near 20 degrees and wind chills in the lower teens.
Have a great Friday and terrific weekend!
