Falling Temps for the New Year

CREATED Dec 30, 2012

The southeast Wisconsin, Waukesha and Milwaukee forecast for the rest of your Sunday night has on the increase and temperatures not dropping too much. Overnight lows will bottom out in the lower-20's or colder in some spots before actually rising again as the night wears on.

Monday will be a bit breezy with the warmest part of the day in the morning. Temperatures will slowly fall as the afternoon wears on with readings close to 20 by 5PM. Highs will top out in the upper-20's in the morning.

Things will be getting a lot colder for New Year's Eve. Temperatures will drop into the single digits for our lakefront communities and Milwaukee tempeatures and around 0 for Waukesha and inland areas. Wind chills will be between -5 to -15 so bundle up. At least it will be dry.

We start 2013 on the cold side. Highs will only top out in the mid- to upper-teens on Tuesday with sunny skies.

Wednesday will be quiet and not quite as cold with highs in the low-20's.

There are no big storms in the works for the next week.
