The snow has finally stopped and skies are clearing as we go through this Sunday so it will look a lot nicer outside. Don't be fooled by the sunshine however, temperatures will be colder with highs only in the low-20s. Winds switch to being from the southwest overnight along a warm front to increase the cloud cover, that will actually increase temperatures tonight as well.
Just as quickly as temperatures start to rebound, a cold front will follow on New Year's Eve, keeping the skies mostly cloudy and allowing temperatures to drop throughout the day. Temperatures will drop faster than the New Year's Eve ball on Monday night, single digits are expected across southeast Wisconsin, wind chills will drop below zero for many overnight.
We can't shake the cold for the start of 2013, despite sunshine it will only get to 16 degrees in Milwaukee on New Year's Day! Add a bit of wind and it will feel downright cold to start the new year. Temperatures crawl back into the 20s for the rest of the week with quiet conditions expected, the only chance for snow comes in the form of flurries on Thursday.
