Massive Storm Departs

The massive Winter storm is making its exit from our area, but the effects from it linger.  We'll continue to see brutal Northwest winds howl with gusts of up to 40 miles per hour.  That will allow some of the more powdery snow to blow around, particularly in the more rural areas to the North and West of Milwaukee.  Roads which had been cleared may become snow covered and slippery again creating some travel difficulties.  Meantime, high pressure building in with a much colder air mass will drop our temperatures by more than 10 degrees from yesterdays highs near 40 degrees.  In addition, that ridge will usher in a lot more sunshine, too.  The brighter skies will persist through the weekend.  Temperatures, however, will remain seasonally chilly keeping the snow around through Christmas and beyond.
Have a great Friday and terrific weekend!
