The storm has developed exactly as we expected the past few days with heavy snow in the NW with 6-12" of snow in Fond du Lac and Dodge counties and 2" of rain from Racine, Milwaukee and Grafton. Rain continues to change to snow and as of 2pm it is now snowing in Cedarburg and Waukesha and expect the snow in Milwaukee in the next 90 minutes.
The forecast for Milwaukee is for rain changing to snow this afternoon and it will snow, and heavy at times, through the evening hours with accumulations of 2-6" by midnight. The lighter amounts will be near the lake and the higher amounts toward Waukesha. The winds are increasing out of the north at 20-40 mph and will get stronger throughout the evening and overnight with gusts up to 50 mph. Wind chills will be in the single digits overnight with flurries.
Friday will have a few flurries in the morning, but it will be windy and sunny in the afternoon with highs in the 20s.
The weekend will be sunny with lows in the teens and highs near 30.
