The forecast for Milwaukee, Waukesha and SE Wisconsin is for clouds, highs back in the mid to upper 40s and a few sprinkles or light rain showers this afternoon and early evening.
Lows drop to near freezing overnight with a few sprinkles or flurries and Friday will be mostly cloudy with highs in the lower 40s.
A weak storm system moves into SE Wisconsin Friday night with a rain/snow mix that could end the snow-less streak in Milwaukee, but it will be less than 1" of accumulation. Any accumulation will melt on Saturday with highs in the lower 40s under a partly cloudy sky.
The bigger or more complex storm system moves into the Milwaukee area on Sunday, but with a warm lake and NE winds, highs will be near 40 so rain is expected most of the day. A wintry mix is expected well west and north of Milwaukee during the day....that includes Green Bay for tailgating. As we get into evening, cooler temperatures will change the mix to snow to the west and north and Milwaukee will see a wintry mix. Overnight, Milwaukee will finally see some light snow with minimal accumulation. Obviously areas well inland and to the north will have more accumulation, but it just depends on how much rain mixes in during the day and evening...so stay tuned. Behind the storm system, it gets cold with highs in the lower 30s and lows in the teens.
