After four days with unseasonably warm temperatures for December, it's back to reality today. It may feel like a cold snap with wind chills in the teens this morning and high temperatures only in the upper 30s but that's close to average for early December. It will look nice again with mostly sunny skies but temperatures will be almost 20 degrees colder than Tuesday.
Cloud cover increases tonight as a warm front approaches, that could bring a few light rain showers in the north on Thursday. You'll notice the thermometer bump back up into the 40s as a result of the front. Rain showers become more likely after midnight and will be scattered throughout the day on Friday. A few showers are still possible on Saturday with highs in the low 40s.
We're still monitoring a storm system for Sunday and Monday to bring what will start as rain and eventually turn to a rain/snow mix Sunday night and into Monday. Accumulating snow is possible through Tuesday when high temperatures struggle to climb above freezing in southeast Wisconsin.
