After yesterday's record high of 65 despite clouds, fog and drizzle, the forecast for Milwaukee, Waukesha and SE Wisconsin is for sunshine and cooler temperatures today. Highs today will be in the lower 50s...still well above the normal of 38 for today.
The clear sky and drier air will allow temperatures to fall rapidly this evening and lows by morning will be in the 20s...back to normal. Wednesday will have a light wind, sunshine and highs in the upper 30s, but we start to warm back into the mid 40s on Thursday despite mostly cloudy conditions. There will be a few showers north of Milwaukee in the afternoon and a slight chance of a rain/snow mix Thursday night. with no accumulation expected. Friday remains mostly cloudy with highs in the lower 40s and scattered showers throughout the day. There is a chance for a light rain/snow mix again Friday night into Saturday morning.
Saturday will be partly cloudy with highs in the lower 40s and Sunday will be mostly cloudy with highs near 40. The powerful storm system looks to be moving in by the evening hours on Sunday with a rain/snow mix and the heaviest precipitation would be Sunday night into early Monday morning. Just how much snow we could get depends on the storm track and the temperature, so stay tuned.
