Still unseasonably warm but more sunshine

CREATED Dec 2, 2012

After a bit of patchy morning fog and clouds, skies will clear to partly cloudy by the afternoon.  Temperatures will stay unseasonably warm for December with highs again reaching the mid-50s in southeastern Wisconsin.  We stay mild overnight with lows in the low-40s under mostly clear to partly cloudy skies with another shot at patchy fog developing.

Monday will be the warmest day on the 7 Day Planner with a high of 63 degrees with a stronger wind from the SSE at 10-15mph, some gusts could top 25mph.  The cloud cover will be increasing throughout the day and there is another shot at rain showers and even a few thunderstorms possible on Monday afternoon.  Accumulation will be light as the cold front responsible for the rain slides through.  That will notch the temperatures down to 50 degrees for Tuesday though it will look nicer with mostly sunny skies.

Colder air finally spills in for Wednesday with highs returning to average, in the upper 30s.  We warm up slightly on Thursday when another chance for rain enters the forecast before we drop back into the 30s for the weekend.  With colder temperatures and a storm system expected on Saturday we could get our first real shot of measurable snow next weekend to potentially put an end to our snowless streak.
