Clouds are slowly filling up the skies tonight but not in enough time to stop the cool down. Temperatures overnight will be in the mid-twenties inland and low-thirties at the lakeshore. Clouds roll in for the first part of the weekend and that will supress the mercury even more. Look for temperatures to top out only in the middle forties on Saturday and Sunday, several degrees below average. With such dry air in place at the surface, any significant precipitation is unlikely, too. The next real chance for any rainfall is on Tuesday of next week.
