It will be a cooler day in southeast Wisconsin on this last day of September after we saw 70s on Saturday. Highs will be in the low 60s along Lake Michigan and mid-60s can be expected inland due to a NE wind today. A few lake clouds are possible in the morning in the east but everyone will see mostly sunny skies by the end of the day. High pressure keeps our weather quiet tonight and skies will be clear, allowing temperatures to drop close to 40 degrees inland.
More of a southeasterly wind direction leads to a warmer day on Monday with highs in the upper 60s and low 70s possible inland. A dry cold front moves through Monday night which may spark of a stray sprinkle but most locations stay dry. Milwaukee and most of southeastern Wisconsin warm up into the low 70s by Wednesday before a stronger cold front moves in Thursday evening and into Friday. That front will touch off showers, bring stronger winds and much cooler temperatures back to the forecast. Highs struggle to get into the mid-50s on Friday and will stay chilly for October into the weekend.
