Yesterdays cold front brought hail yesterday afternoon and wind chills in the 30s this morning, so the forecast for Milwaukee, Waukesha and SE Wisconsin is for a brisk NW wind today with highs in the upper 50s to near 60 with clouds developing and just an isolated pop up shower this afternoon.

The sky clears tonight and the wind becomes cold, setting up for a very cold night with lows near 40 along the lake and in the mid 30s from Waukesha and inland with the first chance of patchy inland frost this season.  A warm front with bring gusty SW winds on Wednesday with gusts approaching 40mph and highs near 70.  There is a slight chance for a few showers west of Milwaukee late in the afternoon as the next cold front pushes though Wednesday night with scattered showers and lows near 50.  Thursday will be a normal late September day with sun, low humidity and highs near 70.

More showers are in the forecast for Friday with highs struggling to hit 60.  Lows this weekend will be in the 40s and despite lots of sunshine, highs will be near 60.  Fall starts on Saturday morning and it will feel like it.

WEDNESDAY:Mostly sunny, very windy and warmer with an isolated afternoon shower
  High:   71.
  Wind:  SSW 15-30 mph, Gusting to 40 mph.

WED NIGHT: Mostly cloudy with scattered showers before midnight and not as cold.
  Lows:  50 lakefront... 45 Waukesha & inland.
  Wind:  WSW 10-15 mph.

THURSDAY: Mostly sunny to partly cloudy and seasonably cool
  High:   70.
  Wind:  WSW 10-15 mph.
