Transition day

After a beautiful weekend, the winds of change will turn the forecast around for southeastern Wisconsin.  A cold front will increase the clouds this morning and bring a chance for rain showers and an occasional thunderstorm this afternoon.  It will not be a washout of a day and rainfall totals will only be around a tenth to a quarter of an inch, but keep the rain gear ready.  Temperatures will top out in the low 70s before the front swings through, then a NW wind will drop overnight lows into the 40s as skies clear out.

A breezy NW wind will pull down cooler Canadian air and highs on Tuesday will struggle to reach 60 degrees under partly sunny skies.  An isolated shower is possible, but most of the day stays dry.  We warm up slightly for Wednesday thanks to a breezy southerly wind but we will still be seasonably cool for September.  A spotty shower is possible Wednesday night before another day in the 60s on Thursday.  Another cold front moves through southeast Wisconsin on Friday, bringing a much better chance for rain.  That front will keep highs for the rest of the 7 day planner in the 60s.
