Get the umbrella and rain gear ready for a workout today, this morning showers and thunderstorms will move through southeast Wisconsin. We may catch a break from the rain midday before a cold front brings a second chance for rain and thunderstorms again this afternoon. Some storms could be strong, but most of us will see a good quarter to a half an inch of rain. Shower chances diminish by 10pm and then skies will start to clear overnight, temperatures drop into the low 60s at the lakefront and upper 50s inland.
Much drier and cooler air pushes in for Thursday with the return of the sunshine and 70s. Friday the cloud cover will increase a bit, and there is a slight chance for a few spotty showers or even a thunderstorm in the afternoon but accumulation will be light.
The weekend will feel a bit more like fall with high temperatures struggling to even hit 70 degrees. The majority of the weekend will be dry as well.
