After some pretty impressive and electric storms brought rain, hail and strong wind gusts to southeast Wisconsin, we will see more quiet weather today. We stay warm today with a high of 85 degrees with mostly sunny skies and a light breeze from the NNE. This last day in July will ring in the 2nd warmest July on record for Milwaukee, second only to 1921. So for many of us, this has been the hottest July in memory.
A bit of patchy fog is possible tonight but most of us will see mainly clear skies with temperatures in the low 60s overnight.
Warm temperatures and plenty of sunshine will kick off August as the winds switch to being from the SSE. That will keep temperatures warm overnight and bring 90s into the forecast for many by Thursday. A few showers and T'storms could develop as a cold front moves in Thursday afternoon and evening.
