Warming up for the weekend

CREATED Jul 21, 2012

Another hot weekend is in store for southeast Wisconsin with filtered sunshine.  Temperatures in the low 90s inland and upper 80s along Lake Michigan as a lake breeze sets up this afternoon, it will be a bit more humid as well.  There is a slight chance for a few isolated showers or thunderstorms to move through north but the majority of southeast Wisconsin stays dry.  Tonight will be warm and a bit humid with partly cloudy skies and temperatures near 70.

Sunday will be another hot and slightly humid day under partly cloudy skies.  A warm front will bring a better chance for scattered showers or T'storms to develop during the afternoon but again, not everyone will see rain.  Any rain that does fall will not help alleviate the extreme drought conditions we have in southeast Wisconsin.

The natural heat will be cranked up even further on Monday with many locations nearing or even hitting the 100 degree mark.  A few isolated showers or T'storms are possible Monday afternoon but the key word again is isolated.  Tuesday we cool off into the mid-80s again with a better chance for rain and storms during the day and especially Tuesday night.  The rest of the week looks relatively active with scattered chances for rain.
