Another heat wave is cranking up in southeast Wisconsin; today will be mostly sunny with highs in the mid-90s inland and low-90s at the lake thanks to an afternoon lake breeze. It will be a little sticky but not oppressively humid. Skies stay clear tonight and temperatures remain warm, in the low 70s.
We start the work week on a sunny and hot note with forecast highs in the upper 90s for everyone and a bit of humidity. That's why the National Weather Service has issued a Heat Advisory for all of southeast Wisconsin beginning at noon on Monday and lasting through 9pm on Tuesday evening. Heat indices will be dangerously high, near 98-108 degrees during the afternoon hours so try and stay cool.
A cold front swings through Tuesday evening and into Wednesday morning, breaking the heat but also bringing a chance for that much needed rain and the chance for a few thunderstorms. Temperatures level out in the low-80s for the rest of the week with mostly sunny skies.
