The upper level ridge continues building into our area which means a repeat of the heat, but today may actually be even more humid. Look for tropical-like dew points rising into the 70s with temperatures well into the 90s and heat indicies reaching at least 100 degrees. There is some minor relief expected along the Lake Michigan shoreline as winds there shift more to the East. The dangerous heat and humidity should persist through Friday. Readings will decline over the weekend with temperatures by Sunday closer to the seasonal average high of 80 degrees.
Have a terrific holiday and be safe in the heat!
