The forecast for Milwaukee, Waukesha and SE Wisconsin is for more heat and humidity today and the rest of the week with a Heat Advisory for lakefront counties and Excessive Heat Warnings for areas west of Waukesha though Friday.
After some morning clouds and rain showers kept temperatures down, the sun is out and temperatures are warming up rapidly and highs will be in the mid to upper 90s this afternoon with heat indices over 100 and a light southerly breeze.
There is a chance for isolated showers later this evening and overnight with muggy lows in the mid 70s. Wednesday and Thursday remain hot and humid with highs in the upper 90s in Milwaukee and the possibility of 100 degree temperatures west of Waukesha. The light breeze both days should allow for an afternoon lake breeze that will create a few showers and cooler temperatures at the lake.
A cold front arrives late Friday after highs in the mid 90s and a few storms are possible Friday night. Cooler and less humid air moves in behind the front for the weekend with highs in the 80s. The lakefront will remain in the upper 70s on Sunday with lots of sun.
