Saturday brought southeast Wisconsin some much needed rain, many of us picked up a quarter to a half inch in the bucket but we still need more. Today's forecast will not give us more rain, but it will be a pleasant day to celebrate Father's Day with plenty of sunshine. The cold front that brought us the rain last night won't do much to our high temperatures as we are expecting another warm day with highs in the low 80s but the front will drop the humidity. Overall it will be the best day out of the weekend to enjoy the outdoors with light west winds at 5-10mph.
Clouds increase tonight as a warm front moves in, bringing a chance for a few showers and thunderstorms to develop by early Monday morning. Scattered showers and occasional thunderstorms stay in the forecast until Monday afternoon when skies start to clear. It will be a hot and humid day on Monday with highs reaching 90 degrees for many locations. The winds will be strong, with gusts over 35mph possible so that will be the thing keeping the heat index below 100 degrees.
The humidity and heat will continue through Wednesday with highs near 90 degrees both days and breezy SSW winds. A cold front moves through Wednesday night and into Thursday morning to ring out the humidity and drop temperatures back into the 70s by Friday.
