Warm and windy but colder air on the way

CREATED May 29, 2012

Even though the winds are strong from the west today at 15-20mph, it is the best day out of the work week with mostly sunny skies and temperatures in the mid-70s.  A few clouds drift in tonight as overnight lows stay seasonable, around 50° in Milwaukee.

The cold air really starts to invade on Wednesday thanks to a northerly wind pulling down Canadian air to drop highs into the upper 50s and low 60s.  You'll need the sweatshirt during the evening as temperatures drop to 45° by Thursday morning.  It will be a gloomy and almost chilly one for Thursday with highs struggling to even get into the mid-50s with mostly cloudy skies.  The next best chance for rain comes Thursday and lasts through Friday, keeping highs in the 50s.

We warm back into the 60s by Saturday and 70s return for Sunday with a slight chance for afternoon showers and thunderstorms.
