The heat was on today with a high of 90 for Milwaukee…missing the record high for Memorial Day by just 1 degree from 1994. Last year was a warm and humid Memorial Day as well with a high of 88.
A powerful cold front brought a line of severe storms into SE Wisconsin this evening with some reports of large hail and wind gusts near 50 in addition to the downpours. The rain has cooled temperatures to near 70 and lows will be near 60 tonight. The cold front will bring a gorgeous day for Tuesday with highs in the mid 70s, low humidity and a gusty wind out of the west at 25 mph….despite the wind, it is the pick day of the week!
It gets chilly around here the next few days with highs near 60 on Wednesday and only in the 50s on Thursday…at least it will be sunny. Rain showers return on Friday will highs in the lower 60s and the weekend looks great with sunshine and highs in the upper 60s on Saturday and mid 70s on Sunday with a few afternoon showers developing.
