Crank up the AC because the heat is here, especially inland! Expect plenty of sunshine by the afternoon and temperatures will be warmest away from Lake Michigan, in the low 90s. A stubborn lake breeze has set up to keep it cooler along the lakefront, temperatures at the beach will be close to 80° and Milwaukee will see a high of 88°. Dew points will be in the 60s so it will feel sticky and humid on top of the heat so remember to stay hydrated. It will be a warm and quiet night with mostly clear skies and overnight lows close to 70°.
Memorial Day will be another hot and humid day with low 90s possible and a breezy SW wind. The day will begin dry with lots of sun, but by the afternoon hours a cold front will start to pass through, sparking off showers and thunderstorms. Some of those storms could be severe and produce strong wind gusts and large hail but not everyone will see severe weather. Chances for rain diminish after midnight.
Tuesday will feel more comfortable with 70s and sunshine back in the forecast but we drop into the 60s by Wednesday.
