Keep the umbrella handy for this Sunday forecast, especially this afternoon and evening as we are expecting wet and stormy weather to trample through southeast Wisconsin. Showers and thunderstorms are possible this morning mainly after 9am, but a warm front will slide just to our south today, sparking off a better chance for afternoon showers and thunderstorms. This evening a cold front will follow, allowing the chances for showers and thunderstorms to continue this evening.
Along both fronts there is a slight chance to see a few stronger to even severe thunderstorms, the main threat for us will be large hail and heavy downpours but strong wind gusts are not out of the question either. Not everyone will see severe weather but most locations will see a good half an inch to an inch of rain in the bucket by Monday morning. Temperatures will be warmer away from the lake, 66° in Waukesha and 62° in Milwaukee.
Scattered rain showers are possible into Monday and temperatures will cool slightly behind the cold front. More sunshine can be expected on Tuesday with temperatures in the mid-60s with a chance for a few pop-up showers Tuesday evening and into Wednesday. Temperatures stay in the 60s for the rest of the work week and drier air settles in to close out the work week.
