An area of high pressure will be in charge of our weather pattern for the next several days, meaning plenty of sunshine but cool temperatures by the lake. Winds will be breezy from the NE today, keeping temperatures in the upper 40s right at the lake, 52° in Milwaukee and 56° in Waukesha and inland. This high pressure will keep us dry overnight but also keep the skies clear overnight. This means we could see some areas of patchy frost, especially inland where lows will drop to 32° by Thursday morning.
Thursday will be the coolest day out of the 7 day planner with highs struggling to hit 50° even away from the lake under a breezy ENE wind. Frost is possible again on Thursday night, so cover those sensitive plants as Milwaukee will even drop to 33° and some spots inland could even see upper 20s.
Opening day looks to be a seasonable April day with mostly sunny skies and temperatures near 50° with a light wind off Lake Michigan. Saturday will be warmer as high pressure moves to our east, bringing a return of a southerly wind to help bump up temperatures. A front moves through Saturday night, bringing the best chance for rain showers and possibly even a thunderstorm. Easter Sunday will be a day of clearing behind the rain and southeast Wisconsin will see mostly sunny skies by the end of the day.
