After hitting 83° yesterday, we broke the all time record high in Milwaukee for March. Today will be another warm day with temperatures in the 80s away from the lake. Temperatures close to the lakefront will stay in the mid-70s under mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies. A warm breeze from the south will be stronger today, winds will be sustained at 10-20mph. Tonight will be warm and quiet with mostly cloudy skies and mid 50s expected lakeside and close to 60° inland.
The incredibly slow moving cold front to our west will finally start to push into southeastern Wisconsin on Thursday, increasing the cloud cover. It will still be warm for March, but highs will only reach the low to mid 70s. The best chances for rain come Thursday evening and rain is likely Thursday night with occasional embedded thunderstorms possible. Most locations see a quarter to a half inch of rain by Friday morning when rain and T'storm chances continue.
Saturday morning the front will exit Wisconsin and the rain will come to an end by Saturday evening. Temperatures will be falling as the front moves across so highs in the 50s are expected by the weekend. That's still roughly ten degrees above normal for March.
