A Little Light Snow on the Way Monday
The southeast Wisconsin, Waukesha and Milwaukee forecast for the rest of the night will be quiet with mostly clear skies. Overnight lows will bottom out in the mid-teens for our lakefront communities and Milwaukee temperatures, and low-teens for Waukesha temperatures and inland areas.
Monday starts off okay, but gradually some light snow will start to develop as the afternoon wears on. Mid- to late-afternoon looks to be the time of the light snow starting. Snow totals for the afternoon will only be a trace to 1" by the end of the day. Highs will top out in the mid-30's, so the salt should work okay if there is any accumulation in your area.
The light snow continues Monday night with another 1" or less or snow. That would bring the system snow totals to only around 1" with a few places possibly with 2". Lows will bottom out in the mid-20's.
Tuesday, we might see a leftover flurry or snow shower. It won't be that cold either with highs in the mid-30's under mostly cloudy skies.
Wednesday looks like the nicest day of the upcoming week if you like a little more sunshine and mild temperatures. Highs Wednesday will top out near 40.
Thursday, we'll have to keep an eye on in case rain, snow or both move into the area. Highs that day will be in the mid-30's.
