Cold and Snowy!

First it was the cold, now we turn our attention to new snow. A potent storm system will track across Northern Illinois today putting part of our area in the zone for significant accumulation. The snow will develop from the Southwest and work its way Northeast through the midmorning hours, increasing in intensity through the afternoon. By evening there could be 3 to 6 inches of accumulation on the ground with the greatest amounts to the South. An additional inch could fall through the evening before tapering off overnight. The largest totals will be in portions of Walworth and even Western Kenosha counties, while Sheboygan county sees considerably less. The first half of the weekend looks quiet with some sunshine for Saturday and more mild readings in the 20's. A mix of precipitation is possible for Sunday with much warmer temperatures in the mid 30's.

Have a great Friday and Weekend!
